Our company’s admin portal is a centralized system designed to streamline the management of APIs, synchronization processes, and monitoring for telco and NBN services. The portal serves as a backbone for operational efficiency, enabling cross-functional teams to manage complex data seamlessly. To ensure a cohesive user experience and accelerate development, I led the creation of a comprehensive design system tailored to the portal’s unique needs.
Goal
The primary objective was to establish a unified design language across all interfaces of the admin portal, ensuring consistency throughout. The design system was created to be scalable, featuring reusable components that allow for future enhancements without compromising usability.
By providing a single source of truth for all UI components, the system aimed to improve efficiency and significantly reduce design and development time. Additionally, accessibility was a key focus, ensuring the portal complies with WCAG standards to make it inclusive for all users.
Key Deliverables
The design system included several key deliverables. A comprehensive component library was created, featuring reusable UI components such as buttons, input fields, modals, and tables. These components were designed to be responsive and optimized for various screen sizes. A typographic scale and color palette aligned with the company’s brand guidelines were developed, incorporating accessibility-friendly contrast ratios.
